Missoula County supports HB 79: Create sexual assault response network program and committee, as amended, which is up for hearing on Thursday, Feb. 3 at 9 a.m. in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
This bill would facilitate communication between state and local agencies to address all aspects of sexual assault and violence. The sexual assault response network program would include the distribution of evidence kits, coordinate trauma-informed response strategies, provide training and assistance for sexual assault responders, and other important duties.
