Missoula County supports HB 429: Require notification of mobile home park sale with a right to purchase, which is up for hearing at 8 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 13 in the House Judiciary Committee.
This bill would require landlords to give notice to mobile home park residents within 60 days of the sale or transfer of the park. Adding transparency to the sales process would allow residents the time and opportunity to propose buying the park to create a resident-owned community. Resident-owned communities, like Buena Vista in Missoula County, help Montanans stay in their homes.
