Missoula County opposes HB 515: Revise property tax payment procedures, up for hearing at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Feb. 22, in the House Taxation Committee. HB 515 creates a partial payment system that conflicts with portions of the tax deed process. While Missoula County supports the goal of this bill, there is another bill in process that would address the root problem in a more comprehensive and thoughtful way. This bill would conflict with the other bill’s efforts.
