HB 592

LC1892

  1. Representatives France, Marler and Karlen,

Missoula County opposes HB 592: Direct DEQ to allow the installation of certain new septic systems, up for hearing this afternoon in the House Natural Resources Committee. This bill would make cut-and-fill systems allowable for both new and replacement wastewater systems, whereas right now, they are only allowed for replacements. Missoula County opposes this bill, because the reason cut-and-fill systems are only allowed for replacement systems is that the natural soil, both in terms of structure and biological activity, is better for treating wastewater.

    Please oppose HB 592.
