  1. Representative Howell, France and Zephyr,

Missoula County supports HB 661: Allowing court to consider dangerousness/lethality assessment, up for hearing at 7 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24 in the House Judiciary Committee.

Domestic violence crimes can escalate quickly from misdemeanors to homicides in seconds. Dangerousness or lethality assessments can give context for the victim and show that their partner is potentially dangerous. The courts should have access to these assessments when determining release or detention conditions for a defendant.

    Please support HB 661.
