Missoula County supports HB 379: Revise laws related to pharmacy benefit managers, which is up for hearing tomorrow, Feb. 8 at 8:30 a.m. in the House Business and Labor Committee.
This bill would allow Missoula County to contract with Partnership Health Center to access prescription drug pricing through the federal 340B drug pricing program, administered by the Health and Human Resources Administration. This could dramatically decrease pharmacy costs for the employee plan provided by Missoula County. Currently pharmacy costs account for about 30% of total medical benefit plan expenses.
