Missoula County opposes SB 285, Revise subdivision sanitation laws, up for hearing at 3 p.m. Monday, March 27, in the House Natural Resources Committee. Missoula County is particularly concerned about the change that would exempt non-degradation analysis for any subdivision that is 500 feet or more from surface water. This change would pose a threat to Montana's rivers, lakes and streams. We also have concerns about the stormwater exemption for all boundary line relocations, family transfers and aggregations.
